The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate soccer team opened its district season Friday, Feb. 5 with a win over Beeville 6-1.

RFHS starts the district season 1-0 and hold a 4-4 overall record.

The Pirates blew past Beeville with three goals in the first and second halves.

Playing his first district soccer game as a freshman, Cristobol Deleon scored three of RFHS’ six goals.

Richard Lizcano scored two goals and Max Carreon scored one goal.

After playing Calhoun Tuesday, Feb. 9, RFHS will travel to Palacios to play its next district game at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13.
