Grand slam

The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate softball team (#1) took care of business in four innings against the Miller Lady Bucs in a 17-2 blowout Thursday, April 1 at home.

RFHS remains undefeated in district play with an 8-0 record and a 19-1 overall record.

The Lady Pirates sit two games ahead of second place Sinton, 6-2, in District 26-4A. Ingleside is in third with a 5-2 record.

After a big win at Sinton and a home win versus Calhoun, RFHS made quick work of the Lady Bucs in four innings.

Miller was unable to score in their first contest at Cabbanis Field, losing 18-0. This time, Miller scored two runs in the third inning, but by that time RFHS had already built up an 11-2 lead.

RFHS scored six more runs in the fourth inning to force the 15-run ruling.

Pitcher Siarah Galvan started the game and picked up the win.

Maddie Mann brought in six runs by herself in four appearances. She was 2-4, scored two runs, and hit a grand slam homerun.

Payton Martinez was 4-4 with four RBI’s and scored four times.

Krystal Kutach was 3-3.

RFHS’ next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 at West Oso.
