First time in new gym

Reese Crosland, Sydnee Wanzer, Payton Martinez, and Kaylee Howell run out from the locker room entrance doors onto the court of the new competition gym for warm-ups for the first time.

The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate volleyball team defeated the West Oso Lady Bears in three sets, 25-14, 25-7, and 25-14, Tuesday, Oct. 29 at home in the brand new competition gym.

RFHS will finish the regular season with an overall record of 27-13 and a 12-2 district record to finish second in District 31-4A.

The Lady Pirates ended the regular season on the highest of highs, collecting their fifth win in a row on parents night and getting to play in the brand new competition gym before heading into the post-season.

At time of press deadline, the Lady Pirates Bi-District opponent is yet to be decided. They will play either La Feria or Progreso next week. A time and date for the game has also yet to be determined.

Kaylee Howell led RFHS in kills with 13. Allie Manson followed with 11 kills.

Molly Frost led RFHS in assists with 17. Mikayla Molina followed with 15 assists.

Molina, Sydnee Wanzer, and Lauren Moore led RFHS in aces with two each.

Howell and Manson led RFHS in blocks with four each.

Hannah Saegert led RFHS in digs with seven. Manson followed with six digs.
