The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate volleyball team defeated the Skidmore-Tynan Lady Bobcats in three sets Friday, Sept. 3 at home.

The Lady Pirates won in three sets 25-16, 25-16, and 25-12.

RFHS’ overall record moves to 14-6.

After a tough loss to Calallen Tuesday, Aug. 31, RFHS was dominant in their win over S-T.

In set one, S-T hung around early in the set, but RFHS pulled away late.

In set two, both teams traded points early but RFHS eventually pulled away again late in the set.

In set three, RFHS got off to a strong start and held the lead for the remainder of the set to win the game.

Offensively, Sophia Byrom led RFHS in assists with 15. Mikayla Molina followed with eight.

Kaylee Howell led RFHS in kills with 10. Lauren Moore followed with nine kills.

Kaylie Skinner led RFHS in aces with six. Byrom followed with four.

Defensively, Payton Martinez led RFHS in digs with 25. Jessica Schibi followed with seven digs.

Howell led RFHS with four blocks. Alana Garcia and Kiley Kopp followed with one block each.

RFHS played again Tuesday, Sept. 7 against Bishop. Their next game is 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at Kingsville.
