The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate softball team is a perfect 8-0 after going undefeated this past weekend in Sweeny.

After defeating Boling and Danbury Thursday, Feb. 25, RFHS won its remaining three games against some tough competition.

RFHS shutout Little Cypress-Mauriceville 4-0 Friday.

Galvan pitched all five innings and struck out seven.

Krystal Kutach and Alyssa Rodriguez both went 1-2 at the plate with one RBI.

RFHS played a doubleheader on the final day of tournament action Saturday, Feb. 27.

Behind a flurry of hits, RFHS defeated Terry 13-2.

Galvan pitched one inning before being relieved by Kymberlyn Gerloff. Gerloff pitched the remaining four innings and held Terry to two runs. She also struck out five batters.

Maddie Mann and Galvan put up big numbers at-bat and brought multiple Lady Pirates home.

Mann was 3-4 with four RBI’s.

Galvan was 3-4 with three RBI’s.

Alana Garcia was 1-3 with two RBI’s.

In their final game against Columbia, RFHS pushed through to the final inning to stay perfect with a 2-1 decision.

Galvan pitched all five innings and retired eight batters.

Three hits was all it took for RFHS to bring it home.

Gerloff was 1-2 and brought in one run.

Mikey Dominguez was 1-2, scored a run, and stole two bases.
