Up for three

The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate basketball team went 2-0 over the weekend and are currently on a three-game winning streak with victories over Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, and King.

The wins give the Lady Pirates an overall record of 6-4.

RFHS defeated Aransas Pass 51-40 Friday, Dec. 4 at home.

RFHS got out to a big lead over the Lady Panthers and continued to build on it with big performances by Kaylee Howell and Lilith Solis.

Howell led RFHS in scoring with 19 points, going 7-8 from the free throw line.

Solis followed Howell with 17 points.

Jordan Malone scored seven.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, RFHS traveled to Corpus Christi - King and won 57-55.

RFHS played again Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Alice. Their next games are 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at Santa Gertrudis Academy in Kingsville and 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 at home against Kingsville.
