The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate soccer team played in a winner-take-all match for the District 30-4A title and defeated the Beeville Lady Trojans 3-1 Monday, March 9 at home. RFHS will head into the postseason as the first seed. It was not known at time of press deadline whom the Lady Pirates will play in round one. The RFHS Pirate soccer team also played Beeville Monday, March 9 for the District 30-4A title but could not defeat the Trojans, losing 6-3 and finishing in second place. The Pirates will advance to the playoffs, but such as the Lady Pirates, it was not known at time of press deadline whom their first opponent will be. The postseason does not begin for either team until Thursday, March 26. More information on both games in the weekend edition.
