The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate soccer team defeated the Beeville Trojans 5-1 Tuesday, March 2 at home.

RFHS’ district record improves to 5-1 with an overall record of 8-5.

Two early goals by Cristobal Deleon and Ian Lizcano in the first half put RFHS in control from the outset.

Max Carreon scored back-to-back goals in the 24th and 26th minute of play. M. Carreon’s two goals gave RFHS a 4-0 lead at the half.

In the 52nd minute, Deleon scored his second goal of the game on a strike to the bottom right corner of the net.

Beeville eventually scored once later in the half, but was too late to catch up to RFHS.

M. Carreon and Deleon scored two goals each.

I. Lizcano scored one.

RFHS’ game against Calhoun Friday, March 5 was canceled Thursday, March 4. Their next scheduled game is 6 p.m. Monday, March 8 at Yoakum.
