Members of the 26-4A District Champion RFHS tennis team are, in no particular order, Sam Holden, Eli Johnson, Taylor Hoover, John Larson, Beau Blankenship, Brody Starling, Maddy Crabb, Brooklyn Torres, Eanna Foster, Crystal Bueno, Lizzy Sain, Jenny Sain, Jamie Bleiker, Daniel Garza, and Jacquie Crabb.

The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) varsity tennis team recently won the 26-4A District Championship in team tennis Monday, Sept. 27 after defeating Beeville 13-6 in Beeville.

The Pirates also defeated Miller and West Oso prior to their matchup with Beeville.

In boys doubles, RFHS swept Beeville 3-0.

Sam Holden and Eli Johnson, Taylor Hoover and John Larson, and Beau Blankenship and Brody Starling won their games in two sets.

In girls doubles, Eanna Foster and Crystal Bueno were victorious in two sets.

In mixed doubles, Jami Bleiker and Daniel Garza won the lone mixed match in two sets.

In boys singles, RFHS took five out of the six matches.

Holden, Johnson, Garza, Hoover, and Larson were all victors in two sets.

In girls singles, the Lady Pirates won three of six games played.

Bleiker, Bueno, and Foster won their contested matches with two of the three matches going three sets.

RFHS advances to the Bi-District round of the playoffs next week beginning Monday, Oct. 11. Their opponent was not known at time of press deadline Monday, Oct. 4.
