The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate and Lady Pirate varsity tennis teams swept the competition in the 26-4A District meet Friday and Saturday, April 9-10 at home.

Both the Pirates and Lady Pirates placed first in the meet and advanced seven players altogether to the regional tournament.

Regional qualifiers are as follows:

Cameron Simpson and Jaby Tarkington – First place in boys doubles.

Jami Bleiker and Emma Jungman – First place in girls doubles.

Emily Sundberg and Hunter Bracht – First place in mixed doubles.

Anne Stevens – Second place in girls singles.

Regional alternates are Maddy Crabb, third place in girls singles; and Daniel Garza and Eli Johnson, third place in boys doubles.

Regional qualifiers will compete in the 4A Region IV meet Thursday and Friday, April 29-30 at the HEB Tennis Center in Corpus Christi.
