The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate and Lady Pirate track teams competed in the Tribal Relays Saturday, April 2 at Tuloso-Midway in the final meet before the district meet next week.

The Pirates finished 9th out of 12 teams with 37 points. The Lady Pirates placed 11th with 6 points.

Pirates placing in the top three are as follows:

Jonas Olivares placed third in shot put with a throw of 45’10”.

Payton McAlister placed first in discus with a throw of 154’16”.

Leroy Burke placed first in pole vault with a clearance of 13’.

John Chupe placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.5.

Lady Pirates placing in the top three are as follows:

Piper Shearer placed third in discus with a throw of 104’8.5”.

The District 26-4A meet in Calhoun will be held next week. Pre-lims are Tuesday, April 12 and finals are Wednesday, April 13.
