The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate basketball team continued its winning streak, now at 12 games, after defeating the Ingleside Lady Mustangs 48-27 Friday, Jan. 8 at home.

The Lady Pirates remain at the top of District 26-4A with a 5-0 district record and an overall record of 15-4.

While it was another big district win for RFHS, another headlining element was RFHS Head Girls Basketball Coach Morgan Hale facing off against her father, Ingleside Head Girls Basketball Coach Steve Hale.

Ingleside hung around with RFHS through three quarters, but the Lady Pirates pulled away in the fourth quarter with an 18-point outburst. Kaylee Howell led the charge in the fourth quarter with six points. Mikayla Molina and Alyssa Garcia also scored four points each.

Howell led RFHS in scoring with 18 points.

Lilith Solis followed with 10 points and Garcia scored seven points.

RFHS played at Sinton Tuesday, Jan. 12. Their next game is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 against Miller.
