The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate soccer team won two district games this past week with one left to play as of press deadline Thursday, Feb. 25.

RFHS shutout Calhoun 11-0 Tuesday, Feb. 23 at home. They then defeated Beeville 3-2 Thursday, Feb. 25 at home.

RFHS’ current district record stands at 3-0, with an 8-3 overall record.

Against Beeville, RFHS fell behind 2-0 early in the first half.

However, RFHS answered back with two goals of their own to tie it before the half 2-2.

RFHS sealed the win with the lone goal of the second half to remain undefeated in district.

Against Beeville, KJ Whidden led RFHS offensively with two goals. Whidden’s goals were assisted by Kiley Kopp and Madison Duval.

Kaylie Skinner scored one goal, assisted by Riley Parker.

RFHS keeper Crystal Bueno finished the game with eight saves.

“She had a really big night in goal,” said RFHS Head Girl’s Soccer Coach Mitchell Lynch.

After playing Yoakum Friday, Feb. 26, RFHS’ next game will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 at Beeville.
