The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) varsity boys and girls, and junior varsity boys and girls track teams finished in first place at the conclusion of the District 31-4A track meet Thursday, April 11 at Pirate Stadium.

The varsity boys won their fourth straight district title with 175 points, defeating second place Sinton with 118. Ingleside finished third with 90.

The varsity girls won their second straight district title with 168 points, defeating second place Ingleside with 116. West Oso finished third with 90.

Varsity boys placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

Jacob Krupa placed first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:21. He also placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.12 and first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:41.4.

Carter McKee placed first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.93 seconds. He also placed second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.46 seconds.

Chris Darnold placed third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 16.22. He also placed third in shot put with a throw of 45’11”.

The RFHS 800 meter relay team placed first with a time of 1:31.62.

Edgar Deleon placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.79.

Jonathon Perez placed third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 41.77.

The RFHS 1600 meter relay team placed third with a time of 3:32.43.

Chevy Hull placed first in discus with a throw of 152’5”. He also placed second in shot put with a throw of 48’1”.

Cruz Estrada placed third in discus with a throw of 149’6”.

Jacob Brake placed second in pole vault with a height of 14’6”. He also placed third in triple jump with a leap of 41’2” and third in high jump with a height of 5’6”.

Varsity girls placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

Sophia Vaughn placed first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:02. She also placed first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:43 and second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29.

Belle Eaton placed second in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:16. She also placed second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:48.

The RFHS 400 meter relay team placed second with a time of 51.21.

Kaylee Howell placed first in high jump with a height of 5’0”. She also placed second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.37 and third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 48.59.

Hannah Saegert placed third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.87. She also placed fourth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 49.72.

Aransas Blaha placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.81.

Caitlyn Ramaker placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.65.

The RFHS 1600 meter relay team placed first with a time of 4:12.62.

Renee McKenzie placed second in shot put with a throw of 36’7”.

Lauren Moore placed second in high hump with a height of 4’10”.

Mikey Dominguez placed first in pole vault with a height of 11’6”.

JV boys placing first in their respective events were the 400 meter relay team, Wyatt Bohn in the 110 hurdles, the 800 meter relay team, Nathan Terhune in the 200 meter dash, and Cade Leal in high jump.

JV girls placing first in their respective events were the 400 meter relay team, the 800 meter relay team, Lilith Solis in the 200 meter dash and long jump, and Aubrey Martinez in the 1600 meter run.

The varsity girls and boys teams will advance to compete in the Districts 31-32 4A Area Meet Wednesday, April 17 in La Feria. The meet begins at 11 a.m. with the 3200 meter run and field events.
