The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) varsity boys and girls track teams competed in the Wildcat Relays Saturday, Feb. 15 in Gregory-Portland (GP).

The RFHS varsity boys team tied with Alice for a fourth place finish with 60 points. They trailed Calhoun with 65 points, GP with 79 points, and first place Veterans Memorial (VM) with 128 points.

Pirates placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

George Marable placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.75. He also placed second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 43.06.

Scott Salinas placed third in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 43.99.

Jacob Brake placed second in high jump with a height of 5’10”.

Edgar Deleon placed second in long jump with a distance of 20’7-3/4”.

Cruz Estrada placed second in discus with a throw of 147’2”.

The RFHS varsity girls team placed third with 75 points, trailing VM with 91 points and GP in first place with 121 points.

Lady Pirates placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

Kaylee Howell placed first in high jump with a height of 5’2”. She also placed third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.37.

Riley Parker placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 62.95. She also placed second in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:27.

RFHS’ 400 meter relay team of Rachel Baergen, Mikey Dominguez, Hannah Saegert, and Juliana Villarreal placed third with a time of 51.99.

M. Dominguez placed first in pole vault with a height of 11’.

Both team competed in the Sandcrab Relays Thursday, Feb. 20 in Port Lavaca.
