The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate baseball team picked up a key 6-2 victory over the Ingleside Mustangs Tuesday, March 29 at Ingleside.

The Pirates are now 5-0 in district play and 11-6 overall.

RFHS is tied for first place in District 26-4A with Sinton. Ingleside is in third place.

Pitcher Luke Muirhead allowed only two hits, one earned run, and struck out 13 batters in a shutdown seven-inning performance.

The Pirates used nine hits to bring in six runs.

Trent Upham brought in four of those runs going 3-4 with four RBI.

Isaiah Elizondo and Carsen Flores each brought in one run, going 1-4 at the plate.

RFHS played Sinton Friday, April 1 to determine the leader through the first round of district play. RFHS’ next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 versus Calhoun at home.
