Lady Pirate Powerlifting team

The RFHS Lady Pirate powerlifting team took its first ever team photo celebrating a first place overall finish as a team. The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate and Lady Pirate powerlifting teams participated in a home tri-meet with Ingleside and Calallen Saturday, Feb. 6.

The Lady Pirates placed first overall as a team. It was the first time in program history the Lady Pirates have won a powerlifting meet/event.

The Pirates placed third.

Individual results for the Lady Pirates are as follows:

At 114 lbs, Gabby Rodriguez placed second.

At 123 lbs, Faith Ngo placed second. Audrey Chupe placed third.

At 132 lbs, Stehle Snyder placed first.

At 148 lbs, Valeria Ramirez placed first, lifting 820 lbs.

At 181 lbs, Mikayla Esparza placed first.

At 198 lbs, Kate Hill placed first. Ciera Barrera placed fourth.

At 220 lbs, Cheyenne Martinez placed first.

Individual results for the Pirates are as follows:

At 123 lbs, David Chittarath placed first.

At 132 lbs, Jordan Gibson placed second.

At 165 lbs, Cristian Kane placed second. Zander Wilson placed third.

At 181 lbs, Kaleb Schmidt placed third.

At 198 lbs, Joey Cantu placed third. Ean McPherson placed fourth.

At 220 lbs, Payton McAlister placed second. Vic Pena placed third. Zack Gisler placed fourth.

At 308 lbs, Daniel Crespin placed second.

RFHS’ next meet is Saturday, Feb. 20 at Gregory-Portland.
