The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate basketball team played its final non-district game of the season Thursday, Dec. 30 in a blowout victory over the Calallen Lady Wildcats 70-30 at home.

The Lady Pirates are now 19-6 overall.

RFHS was ranked #18 in the state in the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) UIL 4A girls poll Monday, Jan. 3.

Against Calallen, RFHS pulled away with a dominant first-half performance by Kaylee Howell and dominant second-half performance from Jordan Malone.

Howell scored 16 of RFHS’ 33 points in the first half. Malone scored 25 of RFHS’ 37 points in the second half.

Malone led RFHS in scoring with 29 points, including seven made 3-point field goals.

Howell followed with 23 points.

Lilith Solis scored nine points.

The Lady Pirates will play one of the toughest weeks in their district schedule this week against West Oso and Beeville, both of whom are ranked in the top-25 of the TABC girls poll. West Oso is ranked #19 while Beeville is ranked #14.

RFHS played West Oso Tuesday, Jan. 4. They will play Beeville at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at home.
