The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate volleyball team lost to the Sinton Lady Pirates in three sets Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Sinton. Despite the loss, RFHS clinched a spot in the postseason.

RFHS’ district record moves to 7-3, along with an overall record of 9-8.

RFHS currently sits in third place in District 26-4A standings. Calhoun is in second with a 7-2 record and Sinton is in first with a 9-0 record. West Oso is in fourth place with a 4-5 record.

RFHS lost to Sinton 25-19, 25-21, and 25-14.

RFHS put up a battle in the first two sets against a tough Sinton team. However, Sinton managed to stay on top and even rallied back in set two after going on an eight point run to take the set away.

Payton Martinez led RFHS defensively with 24 digs. Faith Ngo followed with 19 digs.

Kaylee Howell led RFHS in blocks with three.

Messiah Hernandez led RFHS offensively with 12 assists. Mikayla Molina followed with eight assists.

Howell led RFHS in kills with eight. Ngo followed with seven kills.

RFHS played at Miller Friday, Oct. 16. RFHS will play its last district game of the season at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Calhoun.
