The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate softball team hosted its second annual Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate alumni game Saturday, Feb 15.
The festivities began with a homerun derby, which included a youth and adult division.
In the youth division, sixth grade student Maddie Dykes placed first and eighth grade student Andreya Nunez placed second.
In the adult division, RFHS Assistant Softball Coach Mark Jeffery placed first, current RFHS softball player Maddie Mann placed second, and Charles Chavez placed third.
Following the derby, the current RFHS varsity softball team squared off against the RFHS alumni softball team for five innings.
Making up the RFHS alumni softball team were, from youngest to oldest, Lexi Gonzalez (2018), Nani Martinez (2009), Jessica Langley (2004), Tanya Butler (2003), Brandi Jackson (2003), Avita Gandy (2002), Ali Rodriguez (2002), Annie Salazar (2001), Patricia Torres (1999), and Brandi Mills (1998).
