The Rockport-Fulton High School junior varsity Pirate and Lady Pirate track teams recently competed in the 26-4A District track meet Wednesday, March 31 at home.

The Pirates finished the meet tied with Calhoun in third place with 107 points. Beeville won the meet with 165 points. Ingleside placed second with 116 points.

The Lady Pirates finished the meet in fifth place with 56 points. Calhoun won the meet with 165 points, edging out second place Beeville with 161 points.

Pirates placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

Isaiah Elizondo placed third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:20.82

Ayden Smith placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.85.

RFHS’ 800 meter relay team placed second with a time of 1:40.41

Jesus Sanchez placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.18.

Hunter Wallace placed first in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 48.09.

RFHS’ 1600 meter relay team placed third with a time of 4:01.

Rodrigo Gonzalez placed first in discus with a throw of 119’7.5”.

Tres Nesloney placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 35’5”.

Patrick Lee placed second in high jump with a height of 5’4”.

Lady Pirates placing in the top three in their respective events are as follows:

Rosa Garcia placed second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.97.

Autumn Martin placed first in long jump with a leap of 15’4”. She also placed third in triple jump with a leap of 30’3.5”.
