All-district

The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate baseball team had 13 players receive District 26-4A All-District honors at the conclusion of the 2021 season.

First baseman Isaiah Elizondo was named District 26-4A’s Freshman of the Year. Elizondo batted .352 and had an on-base percentage of .510. He was among the Pirates’ best defensive players with a .944 fielding percentage on 124 chances. He also received Academic All-District honors.

Juniors Luke Muirhead, Carsen Flores, Trent Upham, and sophomore Devan Phillips received First Team All-District honors. Muirhead and Flores were selected as pitchers. Upham was selected as a designated hitter, and Phillips made the team as an outfielder. Each player also received Academic All-District honors.

Senior third baseman Sam Mayes, junior outfielder Ean McPherson, freshman catcher Ace Seibert, and freshman second baseman Jordan Gibson received Second Team All-District honors. Additionally, McPherson and Seibert received Academic All-District honors.

Senior outfielder Nick Pena, junior outfielders John Chupe and Cole Chapman, and freshman shortstop Javier Vela received Honorable Mention All-District honors. Each player also received Academic All-District honors.
