The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Lady Pirate volleyball team played in back-to-back district away games Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19, both resulting in victories.

The wins give RFHS a district record of 3-1 and an overall record of 5-6.

RFHS defeated Beeville on Friday in four sets, 23-25, 25-18, 25-15, and 25-13.

Kaylee Howell led RFHS offensively with 22 kills. Messiah Hernandez and Faith Ngo followed Howell with eight kills.

Hernandez led RFHS in assists with 29. Sophia Byrom followed with 13 assists.

Payton Martinez led RFHS defensively with 19 digs. Ngo followed Martinez with 15 digs.

Howell led RFHS in blocks with four.

RFHS defeated West Oso on Saturday in three sets, 25-13, 25-18, and 25-15.

RFHS controlled the game against Oso with sound defense and accounted for 16 service aces as a team.

Howell led RFHS offensively with 11 kills. Lauren Moore followed with seven kills.

Hernandez led RFHS in assists with 16. Mikayla Molina followed with six.

Hernandez also had four service aces.

Martinez led RFHS defensively with 10 digs. Ngo followed with five digs.

Howell led RFHS in blocks with three.

RFHS played Miller Tuesday, Sept. 22. They play West Oso again at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at home.
