The Rockport-Fulton High School (RFHS) Pirate basketball team played two consecutive district games on Tuesday, Jan. 12 and Wednesday, Jan. 13. On Tuesday, RFHS lost to Sinton 59-38, but defeated Ingleside Wednesday, 59-31.

RFHS’ district record moves to 2-2. Their overall record stands at 8-9.

On Tuesday, RFHS was unable to keep up with Sinton and fell behind after a big night by Sinton’s Donavin Jimenez put the game out of reach late. Jimenez ended up scoring 36 of Sinton’s 59 points.

Joshua Hadley led RFHS in scoring with 15 points.

Mathew Vazquez followed with 10 points and Josh Lee finished with seven points.

On Wednesday, RFHS played at Ingleside and won big, defeating the Mustangs 59-31.

Vasquez led RFHS in scoring with 15 points.

Hadley and Lee followed with nine points each and Chance Bates scored eight points.

RFHS’ next game is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 at Miller.
