The Rockport-Fulton High School Choir recently competed in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region/Pre-Area auditions Saturday, Oct. 23 in Beeville.

At the conclusion of auditions, 10 students qualified for the TMEA All-Region Mixed Choir. Of those 10, six students advanced to compete in the TMEA Area auditions.

Students qualifying for the TMEA All-Region Choir are Parker Brown, Kaylie Collins, Elissa Covington, Sophie Johnson, Ethan Leftwich, Kara Leftwich, Aven Nguyen, Rob Racette, Donovan Sanchez, and Lara Mace-Troche.

Advancing to compete in the TMEA Area auditions, are Johnson, Soprano – 7th Chair; E. Leftwich, Bass – 1st Chair; Nguyen, Bass – 5th Chair; Racette, Tenor – 5th Chair; Sanchez, Bass – 7th Chair; and Mace-Troche, Soprano – 4th Chair.

All-Region Choir qualifiers will participate in the TMEA All-Region Choir performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at Flour Bluff High School. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and children.

Area qualifiers will participate in the TMEA Area auditions Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Cuero High School.
