The Rockport Rotary Club concluded “Restaurant Weeks - A Taste of Rockport-Fulton” by drawing for the winner of the Mystery Box, which was filled with $2,300 worth of donated items. Alise Whitted was the lucky winner. She completed the qualifications of visiting a minimum of 10 restaurants and getting their signatures on her Bingo Card. She received 11 signatures. The Rotary Club was not able to do the Taste of Rockport-Fulton in its traditional way this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Through this effort the Rockport Rotary Foundation asked for donations to contribute to its scholarship fund. The Foundation received just under $4,000 and continues to request donations in order to reach its $10,000 goal. “We have more than 40 scholarship applicants, so the more we raise the more we will be able to help our graduating seniors and those already in college who come back for more support,” said Foundation President Adelaide Marlatt. Taste of Rockport-Fulton Chair Terri Whitman said, “We really appreciate the more than 30 restaurants that participated in this year’s program. We are looking forward to bringing back the traditional Taste of Rockport-Fulton next year.”
