The Texas Maritime Museum recently announced its 2022 Brown Bag Lecture Series through the month of March.

The lecture will feature different guest speakers on a variety of topics and will take place every Monday from 12-1 p.m. It is a free adult program.

The presentation schedule is as follows beginning with the date on each Monday from January through March, followed by guest speaker’s name and topic:

3rd - Wade Dillon: Freeport Historical Museum and the Texas Navy

10th - Robert Gearhart: Recovery of the Civil War Gunboat U.S.S. Westfield, Galveston, Texas

17th - Pam Stranahan: Archaeology of the Coastal Bend

24th - Steve Banta: History of the U.S.S. Lexington

31st - Michael Bailey: Acadia blockade runner

February

7th - Peter Rindlisbacher: Historical Marine Art: A Personal Voyage in the Trade

14th - Robin Galloso: Brazos Santiago: History and Archaeology

21st - Mark Lardas: U.S.S. Houston at the Battle of Sundra Strait

28th - Miguel Gutierrez: C.S.S. Georgia

March
