The 12th annual Rockport-Fulton Tour of Historic Homes this past weekend was very successful.

“We could not have had more beautiful weather,” said Tour Committee member Anne Mourtaja. “Everyone that came through was so complimentary of the homes that were chosen for the tour this year, and the period attire that our docents always wear.”

Tour Chairman Kam Wagert noted that the tour had over 200 visitors, with a good number staying in hotels and motels in Aransas County.

“Many of the visitors also ate at our local restaurants. We had folks come through on the tour from as far away as British Columbia, and many people came from the Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas areas,” Wagert said.

Rockport-Fulton Tour of Historic Homes Treasurer Roberta Sherer said the 501c3 organization is already making plans for next years’ tour.

“We are already seeking homes for our 2020 tour. The homes must be at least fifty years old, and in a nice condition,” said Sherer. “If you feel your home would qualify, please call 361-729-5725 and let us know.”
