What it was like before

Recently, shortly before closing time, these three children showed up at the Fulton Schoolhouse Museum with their mothers and grandmother. They were on a day trip from Houston. “The kids loved the school and their moms were thrilled at how much fun they were having,” said Cheryl Livingston. The museum is now open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Come see what a one-room schoolhouse looked like, and also see artifacts and photographs that have been donated by Fulton residents. If you are lucky, you may have as a docent a lady who actually went to school in the schoolhouse. The Museum is located at the corner of Seventh and Cactus streets in Fulton (205 Seventh St), adjacent to Fulton town hall.
