Growing your own vegetables, harvesting your rainwater, eating eggs and honey from your own chickens and bees are all totally possible in any size backyard. Join Texas A&M AgriLife extension – Aransas County for a two-hour workshop titled “A Sustainable Lifestyle in Your Own Backyard” from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday April 10 at the extension office, 892 Airport Road.

Learn from local experts about beekeeping, vegetable gardening, raising chickens, composting and rainwater harvesting. The workshop, presented by the Master Gardeners, will be in the Demonstration Garden (weather permitting).
