Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Aransas County hosted a Home Arts and Horticulture Show as one of many events celebrating Aransas County’s Sesquicentennial.

Fifteen adults and youth entered the show with more than 40 items.

The entries of original art, and homemade or homegrown products showed a great deal of talent. They were displayed Saturday, June 12 at the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department.

Submissions included paintings, drawings, vegetables, potted plants, cookies, canned goods, and a bud vase. Participants were of all ages, including a one-year-old, who did an abstract painting.

The following results are the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winners:

Grand Champion Adult Horticulture: Patsy Wright, potted plant.

Reserve Champion Adult Horticulture: Judy Sanders, vegetable – squash.

Grand Champion Adult Home Arts: Bernice Jackson, cookies.

Reserve Champion Adult Home Arts: Jessica Latimer, cookies.

Grand Champion Youth Horticulture: Sierra Wright, potted plant.

Reserve Champion Youth Horticulture: Michael Deyo Jr., succulent planter.

Grand Champion Youth Home Arts: Aurora Deyo, art.

Reserve Champion Youth Home Arts: Sofia Alvear, cookies.
