Through the generosity of its sponsors and benefactors, the Children’s Coalition of Aransas County (CCAC) gave gifts to 89 families, totaling 211 children, Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Aquarium Education Center.

The CCAC has served families through its role as a requesting agency for the CarePortal. The CarePortal is a system that is part of the Global Orphans Project, which connects families in need with the local faith community. The goal of CarePortal is to strengthen and preserve biological families by providing assistance such as food, clothing and other basic essentials.

The CCAC received donations from organizations and individuals such as ABC Learning Center, Sassy Seniors, Aransas County 4-H, First Learning Tree, H-E-B, Barbara Daniels, Coolings Automotive, Alissa Spears, Barbara Smith, and the Crazy Quilters.

For more information about the CCAC, visit its website, call 361-255-3000, or stop by the office at 401B W. Market Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
