Nashville-based New Legacy Project Quartet will be presenting a live concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the First Assembly of God Church in Rockport, 813 E. Laurel Street.

Formerly known as Blackwood Legacy, they are best known for their intricate harmonies, true Southern Gospel sound, and homespun humor. Popular across many genres of Christian music, New Legacy is currently charting on radio with their latest single “Born For This.” One can expect a night of humor and fellowship, as well as amazing award-winning music.

New Legacy is led by Rick Price, who spent much of his 40 year career with the Grammy and Dove Award winning Blackwood Brothers, and who was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the legendary quartet. Price says

“In 40 plus years of touring, this is the most confusing time we’ve ever faced as a country,” said Price “We’re so grateful to be able to get back on tour. In spite of the new regulations and restrictions, we are looking forward to a great time of music and encouragement. It might not be completely normal, but we’re finally feeling some hope! That will heal us faster than anything.”

Admission is free to this non-denominational concert, and a love offering will be received. All required social distancing practices will be observed.
