The Allegro Women’s Club will feature two Master Gardeners as guest speakers in their next meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at First United Methodist Church, 801 E. Main Street.
Master Gardener Sara Baldwin, now retired and an emeritus professor, was formerly the associate dean of nursing at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
Linda Francis a lifetime Master Gardener.
Baldwin and Francis will share their experience and knowledge on “What to Plant - and what NOT to Plant on the Texas Coast”. They will also answer questions and provide tips on landscaping and how to cope with winter freezes.
The meeting will also include a lunch at a cost of $15.
The meeting is open to the public and is not limited to club members.
