World getting nuttier?

Ignorance is bliss they say.

However, being blind to the realities around you is equivalent to being the frog that’s slowly boiled to death in a pot of water that started as a cool serene bath.

Look Ma, no problems here.

The national media is split in its coverage of events, and most people who listen to the news regularly listen to the programs that match their beliefs (i.e. – confirmation bias).

I’m amazed every day by what I hear aired on once prominent television/cable stations, newspapers, and radio. I listen to right-leaning news stations at home, but during the day I listen to the left/far left stuff as much as possible.

It should be no surprise to any of our readers that I’m a conservative, with conservative Christian values.

I should also come as no surprise to anyone that I fall short of the goal quite often, but keep trying anyway.

I believe one should be responsible for their actions, pay their debts, respect their elders, etc., etc.

You know, the way it used to be.

I can only laugh at the comedy of the wailing folks roaming the streets after President Trump was elected.

They are losers. You know they’re losers. The majority of the country knows they are losers.

What in the heck were they bawling about?

There were many who were quite concerned when President Biden was elected, and any clear-minded individual understands our current Commander in Chief is not operating at full (or even ¾ full) mental capacity.

Yet, you didn’t see a bunch of conservative leaning folks wailing in the streets for the cameras.

Our southern border continues to be wide open, and amazingly, there are a good number of people in our great land who actually believe our southern border is secure.

Unbelievable.

This coming month, leading up to the mid-term elections, is going to be even crazier than it is now. The left, desperate to hold on to the power they now have, is going to do everything it can to shove the green agenda down our throats with little thought of its costs or the harm it will cause. They will try to buy votes with useless spending and programs that simply expand the federal government’s footprint, and they will never understand that nothing they do is going to save the planet.

There is absolutely no moral reason driving the green movement. It’s all about power and greed.

Once one sees that, vision becomes much clearer.

If Republicans take majorities in the House and Senate there will be further wailing in the streets, and more Hollywood theatrics that will be picked up by certain news outlets and replayed infinitum.

What about nuclear war?

The war mongers in Washington, and there are plenty to go around on both sides of the aisle, continue to fill the coffers of the Military Industrial Complex with no thought of the toll on human life, not to mention economics.

The fight for power, versus the thought of actually serving the people of our great country, might kill us all in the end.

Speaking of the economy, back in 2008 during the market crash most normal folks lost (on paper) about 50% of whatever they had in their retirement accounts.

The last time I checked, which I do more now, as I get closer to the proverbial retirement age (whatever that is), our retirement savings are down about 20% since December 31, 2021.

The immediate future doesn’t look to good, especially with all the stupid decisions being made in Washington, the reckless spending to buy votes on the backs on every taxpayer, “wokeness” in corporate boardrooms across the land, the utter stupidity of men and women running around not knowing what sex they are, and a nut job in Russia being poked and prodded by other nut jobs around the world, including our own.

Why in the hell do we have to get in every conflict across the globe? And, when we do, why don’t we go in, kick butt, and get out … not sit around for years on end filling coffins and feeding the coffers of the giants of military equipment production?

Things will get better; they always have … unless, of course, they don’t.

Our country is due for a major course change, and I pray it comes sooner than later.

I don’t proclaim to know how the Man upstairs thinks, but I picture God looking down on us, shaking his head, and asking, “How could y’all screw up this gift I gave you?”

It is my belief that gift is protected through the heart of individuals, but those hearts aren’t working like they’re supposed to. God’s gifts to us certainly aren’t protected by power-hungry elected officials in the highest seats of government.

I’m praying for our country, and the entire world. We definitely need outside help.
