• The Aransas County Independent School District joined 87 other school districts funding a lawsuit against the way public education is funded.
• There was a plaque dedication ceremony at Key Allegro Park marking the island subdivision’s 50th birthday.
• A historical marker was unveiled at the site of The Cedars, a former popular tourist destination with eight resort houses.
• The RFHS band received a perfect score at UIL competition.
• The RFHS volleyball team went undefeated in district, claiming the district championship.
