Lake Charles eyesore

The Capital One Tower in downtown Lake Charles remains boarded up, bottom, with no solution in sight.

I sometimes think about the weeks and months that followed Hurricane Harvey, how far we’ve come as a community, and where we might be had Harvey never paid us a visit.

Since Aug. 25, 2017 we’ve had to deal with a historic freeze, a historic rain event that caused extensive flooding, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a few other events that don’t normally occur.
