Dear editor:

I don’t know how many Rockport residents are aware of the Odyssey After School Program. I for one am impressed. I can’t say enough good things about this program. The teachers are awesome and truly care about the children in their care and it shows, as soon as you walk into their school.

My grandson is autistic with limited social skills. It has been a blessing for him to attend here. He feels accepted, by children and adults. His teachers watch out for him and include him in all the activities. He is learning to get along with his peers and is reluctant to leave when it’s time to go.

I believe this is because no one is allowed to belittle him and he is accepted.

There are tutors available for homework help, computer lab projects are worked on daily, and field trips are often. This week a bike rodeo is scheduled and it will be awesome.
