Ella Mae Silchenstedt departed her loving family on Saturday, January 29, 2021 at 6:15 a.m.

Ella was born on December 9, 1925 to Edwin & Ella Mae Baudoin Borel in Lake Charles, LA.

She is survived by two brothers, Jerry & Bobby Borel of Lake Charles, LA and her three children Ann Lundstrom & husband David, Edward Silchenstedt & wife Debra, and Ivan Silchenstedt.She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren & one great great granddaughter.

She raised her children with her husband Albert Silchenstedt (deceased in 1991) in Rockport, TX.

Ella was a graduate in 1948 of TX Women’s Southern University at that time in Houston, TX.

Ella had many hobbies especially creating beautiful needlepoint scenes and she was an extremely avid reader. She traveled over most of the world with her husband, Al and her daughter Ann.

She was also an enthusiastic hunter accompanying Al & her sons even on horseback in the mountains of Montana.

She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of a funeral service there will be a celebration of her life by the immediate family only.
