Patsy Jean Williams, 88, resident of Rockport Texas, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Pat was born December 28, 1932, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Hermon David and Jessie Blanche Hill Shultz. At the age of three, Patsy lost her father in a work-related gas explosion. She was raised by her mother and grandparents. Patsy attended Refugio High School where she was drum major/twirler.
In 1949 Patsy married the love of her life, Billy Jack Williams (U.S. Air Force Veteran). Bill and Pat had seven children (five sons and two daughters). Pat was a stay-at-home mom while the children were school age but later working odd jobs. Some of her favorites were telephone switchboard operator, hospital nursing assistant, Avon sales representative, owner of Sand Dollar Marina, and waitress at Charlotte Plummers. After the loss of her husband, Bill, she started her career in retail. Pat was the owner/entrepreneur of Heart-N-Home of downtown Rockport where she gained many friends. She was lively, loving, giving, tender-hearted, independent, smart and feisty. Everyone loved her sense of humor. Her most prized titles were Wife, Mom, and Grammy/Meme. She never missed an athletic event nor choir concert nor any event of her loved ones. Most importantly Patsy gave her life to Christ and was baptized along with her husband, Bill, at FBC Rockport.
Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Hermon Shultz; mother, Blanche Shultz Hofling; stepfather, Joseph Hofling; son, Channing B Williams and daughter, Janet L Williams.
Survivors are her children: son, Billy Jack Williams, Jr. (Betty); daughter, Sharon Cavazos (Afrain); son, Nolan Williams; son, Michael Williams (Darla); son, Joe Williams (Cecilia). Grandchildren: Bryan Williams, A.C. Cavazos (Kelli), Samantha (Jon) Foster, Billy Jack Williams III (Meghann), Laurie Williams, Lauren (Ben) Setterbo, Stratton Williams, Erika Smith (Lamarr), Eric Williams (Kailyn). Along with many great grandchildren.
Graveside service was held October 5, 2021 at Pearsall Cemetery, Pearsall, Texas.
