Levi Saylor Parr

September 10, 2000-August 11, 2022

We lost our beloved Levi on August 11th from a traumatic brain injury after a tragic accident that occurred the night of August 9th in Crested Butte, Colorado. Levi was born in Gunnison, Colorado 21 years ago and spent his first 15 years of life in Crested Butte where he fell in love with the mountains and snowboarding and skateboarding. At the age of 15, he moved to Rockport, Texas where he attended high school at Port Aransas High School and Rockport-Fulton High school. He loved South Texas and the fact that he could skateboard year round and fell in love with wake boarding and wake skating. He was currently attending Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he was about to begin his Senior year of College.

Levi loved to laugh. He loved to have fun and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a natural athlete and was blessed with many talents and abilities. Levi was a notoriously talented skateboarder, snowboarder, and wakeboarder. He was most passionate about skateboarding and loved to share his knowledge and skills with young and beginner skateboarders. We often called him the Mayor of the Skatepark because he spent the majority of his time there either skating or encouraging and teaching others. He was an advocate for promoting integrity in the skateboarding community and tried to set a good example for up and coming skateboarders.

Levi is survived by his Mother and Step-father, Teresa and Chris Zeiter and his brother, Judd Parr of Rockport Texas. His Father and Step-mother, Jacob and Annie Parr and brothers: Colton and Maddox Parr of Crested Butte, Colorado. His extended family included the Zeiter family, The Parr family, The Newhouse family and The White family. He loved all animals and had many pets. He was particularly fond of his puppy, Loula and his cat, Dude.

Levi’s final act of kindness was his young and healthy organs. He was able to save or improve the lives of at least six people by donating his organs through the organ donation organization, Donor Alliance in Denver, Colorado.

We have set up a memorial scholarship fund for skateboarders who want to attend college. Donations to the “Levi Parr Legacy Foundation” scholarship can be made by contacting Community Banks of Colorado at 970-349-1000 or by check sent to P.O. Box 1670, Crested Butte, CO. 81224.

Please wear a helmet and hug your loved ones every time you can.
