Elouise Boling of Rockport, TX, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2022. around 3:00 PM. She was born in Premont, TX, on July 7, 1939 to Lois and Harold Langen. She graduated from Falfurrias High School in 1957 and attended Texas A. & I. for two years. Elouise married David “Ike” Boling, on Sept. 4, 1959. In 1980, she was appointed to the Rockport State Farm Agency as Agent and retired in Feb. 2000. Elouise ran a successful and profitable agency and qualified for many company awards and was invited to speak at a national company convention in 1985.
She was a member of the Rockport Lions Club, served as President, and served as a District Governor, Dist. 2-A3, in 1999-2000. She helped sponsor Habitat for Humanity homes being built in Rockport and worked in the club’s Toys for Kids project for many years. As an RV,er she traveled all over the US, up to Alaska, around the Canadian maritime provinces, Key West, and southern Calif. .
She was preceded in death by both parents.
She is survived by her husband, three children: Deborah Baxter (Wendell), Samuel Boling (Sheri), and Leslie Hein; five siblings: Phyllis Shomette (Tommy), Harold Langen (Roma), Jim Langen, Theresa McNair (W.O) and Kathy Kitch; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; along with 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
