Robert Wayne Gonzalez
Wayne Gonzalez went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 9th, 2021, at the age of 61.
Wayne founded Austin based Gonzalez Solutions for Business in 2002 and married Pamela Luczak, the love of his life in April of 2005. Despite all odds and through his grit, hard work and great tenacity, Wayne became a successful office products industry trailblazer. His ethics and integrity were beyond reproach and to this day, the organization exists as an opportunity to serve others and serve them well. As business partners and soulmates, Wayne and Pam have been blessed with a life time of adventures and accomplishments.
A genuine welcoming soul, Wayne’s energy, enthusiasm and smile always lit up the room and for this reason many called him friend. He loved the splendor of the sunrise and sunset and he loved all people well, old friends and new. He was a true joy to anyone he met and a stranger to none.
Wayne’s biggest joy was his church and 4th day Pilgrimage family where he and Pam developed deep lifelong friendships. Wayne was the past President of the United Way of Aransas County, was involved in numerous other organizations including Coastal Bend Troop Support, the Rockport Chamber of Commerce and Austin Executive Association; his relationships were bountiful.
Despite Wayne’s long hard-fought battle with leukemia, his indomitable faith and spirit never wavered. His courage and grace were breathtaking. Wayne always had three things in mind. Do what is right. Make a positive difference in the world. Be kind and take care of people. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
Wayne is survived by his wife Pamela and their faithful canine companions, Sampson and Hercules. A special thanks goes to special friends and Gonzalez work family, Jesse Pantoja, Mary Carneiro, Jose Vasquez and Gale Daigle for their endless support and love. While our hearts ache at the loss of Wayne, we are grateful his battle has ended and he is healed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Wayne requested in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Austin Pilgrimage at austinpilgrimage.org/give or Austin Pilgrimage|7127 Bee Caves Road – Austin, Texas 78746.
