Mikki (LaDonna Michelle) Villarreal, 54, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 16, 1966 to Donnie Ray and Margie Lewis in Dallas, TX. She grew up in Rockport, TX and graduated from Rockport High School in 1985.

Mikki’s first son, Trey Villarreal was born in 1988, and her second son, Elias Villarreal was born in 1990. Mikki raised her family in Rockport and devoted her life to her sons. She worked various jobs throughout her life, however most of her career was spent working as a cashier at the HEB in Rockport, where she was well-known for her friendly and helpful personality. She touched so many hearts during her life, and she was someone you did not forget once you’d gotten to know her.

Mikki was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She dearly loved her family and was so proud to be a mother to her children. She had a giving heart and was a very hard-working woman. She ensured her children had everything they needed while she was raising them; she was selfless and would give the coat off of her back if it meant keeping someone else warm.

In the later years of her life, Mikki enjoyed spending time with her family on holidays, going to the movies, or going out to eat at her favorite restaurants. She loved listening to live music and telling jokes or stories about her life. She loved to reminisce and laugh, and her laughter will surely be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donnie Ray and Margie Lewis.

She is survived by her sons Trey (Edye) Villarreal and Elias Villarreal, her siblings Tommy (Dawne) Lewis, Donald Lewis, Paulette (Andrew) Shaffer, Amanda Lewis, her nieces and nephews Makayla, Kirsten, Jordan, Raylee, and Adelynn, and her granddaughter Bailey Rae.

In lieu of flowers, a fund will be set up in the near future at the Texas State Aquarium where donations can be made in Mikki’s honor.
