An Aransas County grand jury was convened recently, and issued 19 indictments against 18 individuals.

Those individuals, listed by name, charge, date of offense, and bond set, are as follows:

Ashley Renee Ortiz - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about Feb. 13, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely heroin, one gram or more but less than four grams; $5,000 personal recognizance.

Austin Mabson – Evading arrest with motor vehicle, third degree felony; on or about April 18, 2019, while using a vehicle, intentionally fled from Bryan Cantu, a person the defendant knew was a peace officer who was attempting lawfully to arrest or detain defendant; $1,500 surety.

Nora Martinez - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram; on or about Feb. 16, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely heroin, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Jeremy McQueen - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about March 15, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely heroin, one gram or more but less than four grams; $5,000 personal recognizance.

Amber Lorraine Clark - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about Sept. 3, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams. Enhancement, On Oct. 23, 2014 convicted of possession of controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, four grams to 200 grams; $3,000 surety, plus capias.

Andrew Jamal Chamberlain - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Feb. 19, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Jonathan Lamone Randle - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, second degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about Feb. 12, 2020 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, four grams or more but less than 200 grams. Enhancement, on Feb. 8, 2007 convicted of felony offense of burglary of habitation; $8,000 surety plus capias.

Bryan Ray Shoefstall - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about July 4, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $5,000 personal recognizance.

James Johnson - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Sept. 17, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,000 personal recognizance.

King Ross Phillips - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Aug. 2, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,000 surety.

Ray Lorenzo Amesquita - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Oct. 8, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $2,500 surety.

Ray Lorenzo Amesquita - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about Oct. 8, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, one gram or more but less than four grams; $2,500 surety.

Paul Everett James - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about March 10, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Suzy Marie Farmer - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about July 4, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Carl Andrew Blue – Count 1, aggravated assault impede breath, third degree felony. Count 2, assault-family violence with prior conviction, third degree felony. Count 1, on or about Dec. 3, 2019 intentionally, knowingly or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person with which the defendant had a dating relationship, by striking complainant with defendant’s hands or by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands and the defendant did impede the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of complainant by applying pressure to the throat or neck of complainant with a wire. Count 2, on or about Dec. 3, 2019 intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly caused bodily injury to the complainant, by striking complainant with defendant’s hand or pushing complainant with defendant’s hand or grabbing complainant with defendant’s hand; and previously convicted Nov. 10, 2009 of the offense of assault causes bodily injury to a family member; Count 1, $25,000 surety, Count 2, $10,000 personal recognizance.

Jesus Perez – Aggravated assault impede breath, third degree felony; on or about Jan. 11, 2020 intentionally, knowingly or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person with which the defendant had a dating relationship, by striking complainant with defendant’s hands or by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands and the defendant did impede the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of complainant by applying pressure to the throat or neck of complainant with defendant’s hands; $2,500 surety.

David Glenn Moss – Violation of family violence protective order with two previous convictions, third felony; intentionally and knowingly violated the terms of an order issued Jan. 5, 2020 by intentionally and knowingly going to or near the residence of a member of the defendant’s family as described in the protective order. Had previously been convicted two times (March 1, 2019 and Oct. 17, 2019) of an offense involving a violation of a protective order; $5,000 surety.

Kevin Stroud – Sexual assault, second degree felony; on or about Sept. 21, 2019, intentionally or knowingly caused the penetration of the female sexual organ of complainant without the consent of the complainant; $5,000 surety, plus capias.

Mark Daniel Malone – Count 1, possession of child porn, second degree felony. Count 2, possession of child porn, second degree felony. Count 1, on or about Nov. 20, 2019 through March 18, 2020, intentionally and knowingly possessed visual material that visually depicted, and which the defendant knew visually depicted a child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the image was made, engaging in sexual conduct, to-wit: lewd exhibition of the genitals. Count 2, on or about Nov. 20, 2019 through March 18, 2020, intentionally and knowingly possessed visual material that visually depicted, and which the defendant knew visually depicted a child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the image was made, engaging in sexual conduct, to-wit: lewd exhibition of the genitals; $200,000 surety.
