Aransas County commissioners, at their meeting Monday, Aug. 30, adopted the 2022 budget, and approved the 2021 No New Revenue tax rate.

The 2022 budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $369,338, or 2.87%. Of that amount, $413,470.48 is tax revenue raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The No New Revenue tax rate is $0.392917. The current tax rate is $.433543.

Commissioners also approved adopting the 2021 tax roll and levy; Resolution #R-22-2021, a resolution for the 2021 tax roll, levy and rate; and ratifying the property tax reflected in the 2022 budget.
