Aransas County Navigation District (ACND) commissioners, at their regular meeting Tuesday, Jan. 19, approved the request of Sharon Miller (Goin’ Coastal Outfitters) for a Rockport Beach vendor permit to sell t-shirts and beach-related merchandise.

“We are limited in space in our (downtown) store,” said Miller. “We’ve had numerous requests for beach toys, etc.”

She said with a permit, they can sell their t-shirts, as well as beach-related items, from a “cute little cabin on a trailer.”

Some items, which would be made available for sale, include water shoes, sunscreens, beach towels, beach toys, and souvenir items.

Miller said they will rent paddleboards, as well

She proposed setting up the mobile store just north of where the band shell was located. The site would be manned between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Miller has 30 years experience managing corporate retail stores. She noted her ultimate goal is to pass down a successful business to her children.
