The Aransas County courthouse and all other county buildings are now closed to the public. Aransas County Judge C.H. “Burt” Mills made that closure announcement at the Aransas County commissioners’ regular meeting Monday, March 23.
Aransas County Independent School District (ACISD)
Individuals working at the ACISD central office began working remotely Monday, March 23. During the closure, the best method to contact staff for support is by email or phone. Central office staff will be available remotely Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Email the employee who can best assist you, or call (361) 790-2212. If you receive voicemail, leave a message. Voicemails will be checked daily and returned as soon as reasonable and at the earliest convenience.
Campuses are currently closed and students are “distance learning” in their own homes.
All University Interscholastic League sanctioned contests, rehearsals, and practices have been suspended until May 4.

Aransas County Navigation District (ACND)
The ACND office is closed to the public. Call ahead of time, or at the door, if you need access.
The booth at the entrance to Rockport Beach is not manned. Harbor Master Keith Barrett said the beach is open, but people are asked not to congregate and to maintain social distancing.
City of Rockport
The lobby at the Rockport Service Center (Highway 35 Bypass under the water tower) is closed to the public. All business is being conducted through the city’s website www.cityofrockport.com.

Town of Fulton
Fulton Town Hall was still open Monday afternoon, but the Fulton Town Council was scheduled to meet Tuesday morning, at which time closures were to be discussed.
