Wings Rescue Center (WRC), the organization which has rescued more than 700 birds in Aransas County since its founding in 2016, will hold its annual WingDing event Saturday, Sept. 21 at Rockport County Club (RCC) during the HummerBird Celebration.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar. A multi-course dinner follows at 6:30 p.m.

Janelle is the entertainment. There is a silent auction table featuring gift baskets, works by local artists, jewelry and more, as well as a live auction featuring several desirable weekend trips.

The dress code is casual. Feel free to come as you are, but no beachwear.

The annual WingDing supports WRC’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate injured birds and to rescue and raise abandoned baby birds. The birds are rehabilitated and released back into nature whenever possible. The organization is totally volunteer-driven. All funds are used for the expenses of rescue, rehabilitation and release.

Tickets are $50 per person, or $400 for a table for 10.

Sponsor tables are offered for $750.

Tickets may be purchased on the WRC website, http://www.wingsrescue.com.
