Grand jury returns indictments

An Aransas County grand jury convened recently, and issued 11 indictments against seven individuals.

Those individuals, listed by name, charge, date of offense, and bond set, are as follows:

John Jacob McNatt – Burglary of habitation, second degree felony; on or about April 17, 2018 intentionally or knowingly entered a habitation, without the effective consent of the owner, and attempted to commit or committed the offense of theft; $5,000 surety.

Brandon Lee Morrow – Felony theft, state jail felony; on or about Feb. 28, 2018 unlawfully appropriated property, to-wit: U.S. currency, without the effective consent of the owner, having the value of more than $2,500 but less than $30,0000, with intent to deprive the owner of the property; $2,500 personal recognizance.

Rebeka Ashley Boor - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, state jail felony; on or about March 29, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely heroin, less than one gram; $3,000 surety.

Rebeka Ashley Boor - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one to four grams, third degree felony; on or about Oct. 2, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, more than one gram but less than four grams; $3,000 surety.

Florencio Cruz III - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Nov. 23, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,500 personal recognizance.

Florencio Cruz III – Possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility, third degree felony; on or about Nov. 23, 2018 intentionally or knowingly took a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, into the Aransas County Detention Center; $500 personal recognizance.

Florencio Cruz III - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, second degree felony; on or about March 21, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, four grams or more but less than 200 grams; $3,500 surety.

Jose Feliz Silva-Obregon – Evading arrest with a motor vehicle, state jail felony; on or about April 8, 2018 while using a vehicle intentionally fled from a person the defendant knew was a peace officer who was attempting lawfully to arrest or detain the defendant; $2,500 surety.

Jose Feliz Silva-Obregon – Tampering with physical evidence, third degree felony; on or about April 8, 2018, knowing that an offense had been committed, to-wit: possession of marijuana, intentionally and knowingly concealed marijuana with intent to impair its availability as evidence in any subsequent investigation or official proceeding related to the offense; $2,500 surety.

Amber N. Shedd - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Aug. 27, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $5,00 surety.

Robert Ray Zbranek Jr. – Count one – Aggravated assault displaying deadly weapon, second degree felony. Count two – Continuous family violence, third degree felony. Count one, on or about April 28, 2019, intentionally, knowingly and/or recklessly threatened serious bodily injury or death to complainant by threatening to kill the complainant, the defendant did then and there use or exhibit a deadly weapon, to-wit: a knife, during the commission of the threat. Count two, committed assault causing bodily injury, family violence, two or more times during a period of 12 months or less. On or about April 28, 2019 intentionally, knowingly and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person with which the defendant has a dating relationship, by striking complainant with the defendant’s hand, pushing complainant with defendant’s hands, grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands or by kicking complainant with defendant’s feet. On or about March 13, 2019 intentionally, knowingly and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, by grabbing complainant with the defendant’s hands, squeezing complainant with defendant’s arms, or cutting complainant with a knife; $58,000 surety.
